My Story. Otherwise known as … Why
I have spent most of my life asking one question: Why?
Why am I the way I am? Why are you the way you are? Why do we lead, love, and strive the way we do? Why is the world – and our place in it – shaped the way it is? And yes, even why are the pyramids in Egypt? Still working on that one…
Fortunately for me, “Why?” covers just about everything, and every answer only leads to more questions. So I don’t think I’ll ever run out of things to explore.
That curiosity has carried me across continents and through careers – from managing a bank to working as a First Mate on a sailboat leading snorkel tours (and yes, I can still carve a mean pineapple boat). The common thread through it all has been a fascination with people and systems – what drives us, what holds us back, and how we can live, lead, and connect more meaningfully.
It’s no surprise that I became a psychotherapist, peak performance strategist, and educator. My work now combines the science of transformation with the art of human connection – helping high-performing, purpose-driven people uncover their own Why and translate it into clarity, resilience, and impact.
Essentially, I help people change their world, and in turn, they change the world around them.
I believe this work is sacred: providing the space, tools, and insight for people to understand how their past informs their present and then support them to intentionally shape their future. It’s a process of integration – where awareness becomes strength, and strength becomes action.
If you, like me, feel called to live and lead with greater purpose – to answer your own personal “Why?” I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
Because this isn’t just a moment in your life. This moment is your life.
How do you want to be living it?

One of my favourite exercises from Brené Brown’s Rising Strong curriculum is called the “I Am” exercise. It is the culmination of your story and a declaration of who you are. Below is mine (and don’t worry, if we work together I won’t make you start writing poetry… unless you want to…).
Who I Am
I am Constance, my parents’ only daughter. Raised part pragmatic prairie-girl, part wonder-filled west coast wanderer.
I am the descendent of ranchers and farmers who taught me to honour the land, animals, and communities that sustain us. That being interconnected is the only way to truly thrive.
I am a blend of science and spirit, as the child whose favourite toy was a microscope but chased fairies, grew into the woman who believes in scientific research but also the power of the immeasurable.
I am a world traveller and lover of oceans, mountains, and airplanes, and live every moment knowing we, and the world, are both expansive and boundless, but also small and fragile.
I am a seeker of knowledge, experience, and connection, and remind myself daily that we are all made of stardust.
I am one who seeks to understand but knows sometimes there are no answers other than the ones we make for ourselves.
I am a boundary pusher against boxes that keep people small, and amplifier for those whose voices need to be heard.
I am a seer of patterns in speech, love, and action. I am a believer in magic, synchronicity, and the things we can’t touch or quantify.
I am a champion for human potential, while a realist that some people need to be loved from a distance.
I am one who grew strong through falling apart – who found myself while running away – who saw the light by stepping into the dark.
This is my story. I’d love to hear yours. I invite you to contact me to see how we can work together soon.
